Dear friends and clients,
We are urgently raising funds as soon as possible for the desperate
situation in Haiti after the horrible earthquake.
As many of you know, I started my gallery and a wonderful,life-enriching
career after my first trip to Haiti in 1977.
Today my heart is heavy with sorrow for the devastation in that poor
and ill-fated country.
The photos on TV are places and people that I have been familiar with
for over 30 years.
Since I cannot go personally now to help, like many of you I wish
to contribute whatever I can to this worthy cause.
I know 2 charities involved in Haiti that I help annually.
The directors and staff are friends of mine who are honest and generous
people, giving of their time, energy,
and resources to help those who need it most: children and the very
poor.
I assure you that every bit of donated money goes directly to those
in need in Haiti.
These charities
are :
Hope For Haiti
www.hopeforhaiti.com
write checks to "Hope For Haiti."
and
Arts Creation Foundation For Children
( based in Jacmel, my favorite small town) "ACFFA" for checks;
www.artforhaitianchildren.org
You can write checks to acffc, and can also give via paypal to
jh.acffc@profile-mktg-res.com
as well as justgive.org button on website

We
are also offering a SALE at Galerie Bonheur on all of our artwork
from Haiti.
We will add some new pieces that we are getting from the children
of Jacmel in the next few days.
We will post these on our website as soon as possible.
They will be paper mache pieces and small, inexpensive paintings.
Please let me know if you would like to buy something from Haiti.
I
am willing to sell anything on my website at the most fair price possible
so that most or all of the money will go to the people of Haiti, artists
and children especially, who need it so desperately at this time.
We are linking you directly to our Haitian section so that you may
decide if you wish to purchase an authentic piece of Haitian Art.
Keep in mind that this artwork may become difficult to acquire in
the near future.
Gratefully,
God Bless You !
Laurie
