| Guatemala is a country that is beautiful, colorful, and full of spiritual traditions, from the Mayan Indians as well as the Spanish Colonial Christian heritage. There is a wealth of arts and crafts to be found in every village and town, where the natives all have their own unique style that differentiates them from one another. Each village has its own special “costume” or dress, and thus it is easy to tell where a person lives by his or her hand-woven attire. This country is famous for its textiles and weavings, however there is also a wealth of painting and sculpture. The Guatemalan people are extremely talented, ambitious, and have a great work ethic, ambition, and fortitude. |  |
