ANGEL CLOPIZ

Angel Clopiz is a middle-aged policeman who lives in the small town of Mella, near Santiago de Cuba. He is also a member of the group there of naïve artists, called the "GRUPO BAYATE." His paintings are lively, colorful renditions of everyday life in the countryside. His colors are vivid and brilliant, reflecting his warm and friendly personality, his joie de vivre and his appreciation for and response to a beautiful world.
