Old Ironsides Pry Old Ironsides Pry had only 9 years of education, and was a member of the military, the circus, and was an orderly. After an illness at age 47, he lived in a home for the aged where he started to paint. He had an expressionistic and decorative style of painting, and his subjects were people, animals, circus performances, words, and popular culture. He died in 1987.
